... A dupe?

... I dunno, but these are some of the most fantastic B2 photos I've seen on the Internet in quite awhile:

This has to be one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

B-52 pilots are the luckiest men alive.

Great pics!

Thanks for posting the links.

Fortunately for me I live almost directly under Langley AFB main runway approach pattern. I get to see the newest F-22's in service fly on an almost daily basis.

I walk my dog at a golf course that is almost across the street from the runway, the Raptors are at about 150 feet at that point in their approach....it's great.

I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Awsome pics,

It's so depressing that we only have B-2s and F-22s in token quanitites.

I'm in an area not too far from Langley, where they circle around, and I do enjoy seeing the Raptor.  I spent over 9 years out at NASA-Langley, and still looked up and watched whenever something flew over.

... These things take time. I remember when I started working on the first C17 nearly 20 years ago, yet there are only ~160 made. Similar condition with the Apache ~1200 made starting in 1982.

... Military aircraft are incredibly complex machines. The process to design and build them are tedious and painfully slow.

... Even in the day of high-speed machining, automated factories, efficiency and quality metrics & "Manufacturing and Engineering Lean", there is only so much fat you can trim before you begin to compromise safety and mission capability.

... Yet I love the business so. I'm constantly planning an early retirement, but it's a double edged  sword - I'm sometimes afraid I'll be missing the "game" once I leave it.

Here's another link for some cool aviation photos. I met this guy in Ft Lauderdale at the Air and Sea Show in 2002. Best air show I've ever been to!

I got to see that in person three times while I was stationed at Edwards.
