Called to beat up Bush on Bin Laden still being loose.  Rush asked her if she knew the date we captured Hitler.  Sometime in 1940, according to her.  Duh!  Everybody knows he went to Brazil!

ETA:  Trick question.  Instantly obvious she was a DU'er.

Was Rush being facetious?  Was it just a curveball to stump her?

Was he trying to say that Bin Laden is already dead, or that we'll never know for sure?

(The 1940 answer is terrible for sure )

Don't think they ever recovered his body, although they claimed to have some of his skull I believe.  They nazis treid to burn him completely, I think.

Yeah, after he committed suicide (the little coward), they dragged him outside into a ditch and burned the body.

If I recall correctly the Russians claimed to get his remains but nobody knows for sure.

Doesn't she know anything, everyone knows Hitler flew to Britain in May 1940 and was kept in the Tower of London.   Everything else is part of a great big Conspiracy between the Allies,

I would, but everything in the archives after the Dusseldorf-Macon pact is sealed...

Rush wasn't really trying to trick her, just point out that we WON the war, but didn't accomplish capturing Hitler.

Doesn't matter

I saw a show on that.  The Russians case was pretty convincing.  Can't say for 100% certain of course, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

What has the soviet union done in the last 60 years to earn that benefit?

Stalin was credited with saying something like "People are the problem. No people, no problem."

I'll give him that.

Everyone knows that we fought the Veitnamese in Korea during WWII.  We fought Hitler during the Revolutionary War.

(P.S. the first sentence was an actual answer (put concisely) by a "man on the street" on Hannity's show)

Exactamundo! But her guess at 1940 was hilarious.

If she's that dumb, she might end up voting for a Republican by mistake. Please God make it happen.

We didn’t capture Hitler? Then we lost WW II!!! Dig up Truman and Roosevelt so we can haul their carcasses to the Senate to impeach them! I bet they authorized spying on Americans too!

Some people can’t separate fiction from reality, I saw it with my own eyes on TV it has to be true!

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.

Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Otter: Germans?

Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

I'm just going to assume that she was nervous speaking to such a powerful and influential member of the media.  The alternative is a bit scary to think about.

It always cracks me up when people think they're going to be sly and get over on somebody that does stuff like that for a living. Only equivalent way to totally make a fool of yourself is start hecking a good stand up comedian.
