There's a bunch of us still left from the old AR15.com board that moved over to this new software on whatever date my join date lists. The site started as a companion to the AR15-L Yahoo e-mail list. It was from there that people started coming to the new forum. The signal to noise ratio on that list got so high as the number of members climbed on the Yahoo list. I gave up on the e-mail list and moved here full time.

I dont even keep track of how many posts I have. I am guessing too many for my own good. Since its the topic I am going to submit then see what I am at to remind myself to get out more. ETA yup, its pathetic. I need a more exciting life.

yeah, maybe there could be a filter on post counts that excludes anything under 10 words, or any post containing the phrases "IBTL", "DUPE", and "+1".

Before AR15-L, I was on another mailing list called simply the "firearms list". It was one of several mailing lists hosted on a server at UTA.edu. Man! As advanced as it seemed at the time, mailing lists were pretty friggin stone age!!
