Also, if he is in real bad need, and he has cell service, he has 9-1-1 which is the State Patrol in that area, and the State Patrol dispatches the Snow Plows and Sand trucks... Im willing and ready to go, just gotta make sure he is on this side of the pass, there are hotels at the top and gas pumps avail. Also just check'd the weather radio... SNOWING LIKE ALL HELL UP THERE... |

CavVet or R32, what are the EMS doing for those caught? I would assume that someones could get there form the ski resort with a sonwmobile and get folks out. I have no idea regarding the lay of the land there, but I am familiar with mountain passes. To be frank this does not seem like that big of a deal, more or less a major pain in the ass and a rough night (assuming no avalanche (sp). How is this sort of thing usualy handeled? Correct me if I am out of line, am just trying to understand the specifics of a rescue of this nature.
