Me thinks a certain gunstore owner has recently watched the movie "Lord of War".
I truly doubt there is anyway one despot in Africa could corner the market on ammo. Besides, a war with the U.S. could never be fought in a conventional manner with AK-47s and ammo. They would need to resist as an insurgency, e.g. IEDs and random attacks. Not full scale conventional war with AK47s eating through millions and millions of rounds of ammo. |

If they create an artificial shortage, buyers will be willing to pay more for it. Once they see where prices go for what is available, the manufacturers will resume production and delivery at prices slightly under that paid during the "shortage". Thr Ruskies may be a bit slow on the uptake, but they ain't completely stupid. |

Yeah, well even worse, a class III dealer told me yesterday that when I asked him are those ARs or M16s? "They're short barreled ARs, you can't get M16s, no one has them, Hollywood bought them all up." I was just kindof like, oh okay man.

Another guy that same day told me that the Russians weren't going to ship any more ammo until May/June timeframe...And I should come back then, and don't bother looking online, because they're out, too.
But he DID have a bunch of boxes of MagSafe 7.62x39 rounds if I wanted some plinking ammo.
