I use Nero and have no problems.
Most CDs that I own don't have CD-Text so that my CD-disc player can display the titles on my head-end so I have to copy them adding the missing data. For the longest time I thought my CD player had a problem ... nope, just the manufacturer not putting the text in. |

Use Linux.
 If you have two optical drives, you can download and run Knoppix, and it'll let you suck the tracks off the CDs using cdda2wav. I've heard that one has some good quality-checking code in it to make sure your drive isn't glitching during the read. |

Microsoft's Anti-Spyware will remove Sony's Root-Kit.

Please note: when you ask how to copy a CD, now you really need to post the titles/artists. The reason is because some "mixed media" CD's use one of a few different types of copy protection. There's no way to know which DRM system is used without knowing the title/artist of the CD's in question.
(A 'mixed media" CD is one that will only play music in a regular CD player, but that will play special videos and whatnot when inserted into a computer.) ~ |

Is it a Sony computer? RecordNow is what they were using for years as the bundled cd burning program, largely because it would restrict what it would copy
