I do, a 6 HP 24 " , 2005.   It  is a great Machine.  It will eat snow a foot over the top of the feed hood. The other thing it does that other machines have a problem with is throwing wet snow, even
small accumulations where it is slush .  Tecumseh snow king engines are the standard on 90 of the snow blowers out there.  The other machines out there are made by MTD, which include Troy built, Yard  Machines. They are cheaper built, bushings instead of bearings, plastic throw shoots, they don't throw the wet snow very well, but they too use Techumseh engines. The other Snow blower to buy is Husqvarna.
Let me know what you get.

I have an 11 HP Areins.  Hand warmer on the handles, headlight, etc.  It's a well built snowblower.  I assemble snowblowers for a major warehouse type store.

I was in the local Home Depot today and saw that they had their snowblowers for 20% off the regular price.  Don't know if this is chain wide or store specific.

Thanks Lightspeed2. I have a John Deere now but its getting old. We have had a real mild winter here and I'm thinking Home Depot might put them on sale. My bother is in desparate need of a neew blower. He has an pld Toro that has to be 25 years lod. It still moves snow but he is constantly fixing it.

I've got one, runs like a champ.  My brother has a 20 year old one that still runs fine.

I have seen a few people angrily returning them to the store, but every mechanical item has bad ones.

Thanks nukem4911 & Carhlr. It good to hear postive things about Ariens. I wasn't sure how they would be. ITs funny I bought my John Deere in the early 90's  the following fall after an especially snowy winter. I paid $1200 for it back then but they were hard to find. I see the Ariens going for $999 at HD. I'll have to check to see if they have the 20% off aroungd here.
