too much to spend on a $150 gun when the ~$50-60 ATI is available

True , but if you have a pre bubba'd SKS it might be worthy .

Its only because of that stock that I even became intersted in a SKS.
No pistol grip, no thanks.

That's some powerful ghey, right there.

Why do people insist on doing this to their AK or SKS?

if it was a collectible or even a former .mil rifle, i wouldn't do it. but mine is just a chicom made shooter for the civ market so why not?

good man!

if you really must put a new stock on it, go with something from Choate, stay away from ATI.

AIM surplus has the same thing for 10-15 cheaper.

the sks is a perfectly fine gun before people started getting the urge to screw it up with cheap plastic stocks.

I'm pretty much against ARing AK's, shotguns and such too, but to be honest from a shooting standpoint I almost wouldn't mind getting one of those stocks. Not because it looks that great , but because it might make my SKS more enjoyable to shoot.

I have an SKS-D, the wood stock seems different than most SKS's and it feels real thick and too long, I hate that stock. I also have a folding style that's actually pinned in the extended position and I hate that stock too, it feels to long. I need a stock for a SKS-D that actually feels good. The 2 I have both suck.

Is there a stock out there that doesn't suck, that actually isn't an AR style stock?
