Is "Fucking A!" meant to be an expression of approval/happiness or disapproval/unhappiness?

I ask because I've realized that my wife and I use it for the exact opposite purposes. I think it's the former, but she uses it as the latter.

I need an arfcom ruling, so that this can finally be resolved.

There was one of those silly e-mail things about this a few years ago. It means pretty much everything/anything and is applicable to a broad range of situations. Most questions can be answered with a simple "fuckin' A!" (except at work)

I have always used Fuckin A as a exclamation equal to awsome or really cool.

For added emphasis, a 'Bubba' suffix is often used.

ETA: I forgot the truly awsome is indicated by the 'Tweety Bird' suffix. This is rarely used however, because very few things earn the 'Fuckin A Tweety Bird!' comment.

Depends on the context. The elasticity of the F-word is simply amazing. No other word works as hard in the english language.

Most of the time when I use it -- its synonymous with awesome, but occasionally use it as crap.

I heard that it originally referred to something bad happened to the old Ford Model A, as in, "the battery in the Model A died" with the reply "That Fuckin' A!"

It has since devolved to be merely an exclamation, lacking any real meaning except as emphasis.
