..I can't help but wonder....with the Bird Flu pandemic threat....Iranian nukes.....Israeli anger over Iranian nukes....North Korean nukes.....natural disasters, and such.....is anyone else stockpiling food and water, and of course, AMMO ?....and are we closer to a "SHTF" scenario than we realize?

Depends, how close do you think we are?

I'd say we're actually a lot farther from a large scale SHTF situation than a lot of people here think.

out of the situations you listed, large scale natural disasters are about the only thing you would need 'food, water, and ammo" for.
