I have a great condition glock 17 with 2 hi-cap magazines.
Total number of rounds is right around 1000, no slide wear and looks great. What would be an acceptable private sale and trade in value?

A large shop I frequent usually will offer 75% of current wholesale pricing on a trade-in. Maybe $300-325? without nightsites.  IMO, private party hi-end would be $425.

Depends on the shop.  Whether they're making money that month, have tons of used Glocks on hand or not it all depends.  I got anywhere from $350 to $375 for a few I've traded in.  Glocks usually sell pretty good on glocktalk.com

A little over a year ago, I bought an excellent condition GEN-2 G17 from CDNN.

I think I paid around $359 with 2 LEO-marked mags.  (Of course, + shipping, + transfer)

Lightly used 3rd generation Glocks are on the shelf locally for $409.  A 2nd Gen Glock 22 was priced at $349.  I saw these yesterday.  The last one I sold to a friend was $350.

Thanks for the useless post. Now I see how non-paying members get such a high post count.

For everyone else that took my post serious....Thank you.

I've made arrangements to sell the handgun to my brother-in-law for $400 cash.

Couple years ago, I bought a 2nd gen G-23 refurb from them for $379.  Looked brand new.  I wonder why the $79 price spread between the 2.  I guess the supply is much greater for the 17's.

Easy, you got a 2nd gen G-23 refurb, all I got was a 2nd gen Glock 17 trade in, not a refurb.

Glad you sold it.

Useless, huh? Didn't some people get a laugh out of it? So comedy is useless? Lighten up Francis.
