At least, that is what I read in this article.

I always thought it was just rip-off tax companies that charged money to file returns electronically, but apparently the IRS thinks you should pay to file electronically -- even though its faster and more efficient for them to recieve electronic submissions -- but who cares if they burn money?  It just our tax money ...

The article is about the IRS stepping in and STOPING tax preparers from doing free electronic filing.

How long before they start to charge you fee for the overhead of handling paper submissions??

Have to PAY to pay taxes ?!?!?!
