Regular expressions are regular expressions.
Perl just made them...unreadable. And people wonder why I use AWK. |

Its not the regular expressions that are to blame.
Its the whole Perl language. Then again, it IS the language that does what you want, not what you tell it to.

It's like Evil_Ed said, most languages handle Regex's similiarly. However if you're having a hard time with something feel free to post it.
