Well guys after the Navistar shooting where every government check failed to stop a convicted felon from killing some people, the geniuses in Springfield decided that they need more laws.  This AW ban is bad.  It also bans parts to convert Non-AW to AW.  These thing is so bad it doesn't even sound legal (what about no post ex facto laws)?  Well here is is read it and weep, I am.  I will be calling my state rep and doing everything I can to prevent this bill from even coming to a vote.  P.S. if you are a member of the ISRA please vote for the Vision Team for the Board of the ISRA!

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
       Amends  the  Criminal  Code  of  1961.   Prohibits  the   knowing      
  manufacture,   delivery,   and  possession  of  semiautomatic  assault      
  weapons, large capacity ammunition feeding devices, and assault weapon      
  attachments.  Provides for an affirmative defense to a  violation  for      
  peace  officers,  correctional  institution  employees  and  officers,      
  members of the Armed Services and Reserve Forces of the United States,      
  and  the  Illinois  National  Guard  while  these  persons  are in the      
  performance of their duties.   Establishes penalties for violations.
