It uses genetic donors of the opposite sex (than a Liger). |

I believe that I've petted that particular liger... or at least placed my hand gingerly upon its back. Those guys in the fruit suits used to put on shows at a local fair a couple times. |

I as well have seen a Liger at the King Richard's Fair in Carver, MA. very impressive, super huge, almost scary being so close with just some fruitcup in tights holding by a huge chain around it's neck.

Yup...they're real. Bhagavan animal shows comes to the Medieval Faire here in Southeast Mass every year. They've got Ligers, Tigons, Ti-Ti's and Li-Li's (Ti-Tis and Li Li's are offspring of a Liger or a Tigon). Pretty cool, but I doubt it could happen in the wild.

True story: A few years back (could be 10 now) we had one running around here in MI. For months. Someone had one and then just set it free. Then suddenly the sightings (there was video of it too) just stopped.
Going theory was that the powers that be had killed or trapped/killed it and wanted to keep it under wraps. But yeah, they're pretty much my favorite animal.
