Dealer in NFA firearms - it's a "class" of SOT - not just a dealer of MGs; includes suppressors, AOWs, SBR sand SBSs, DDs. So none of your answers are correct.

The correct term would be Title II Firearm.

Class 3 is actually a "class" of Special Occupational Tax that an FFL pays to deal in NFA firearms. Class 1 is an importer of NFA, Class 2 is a manufacturer of NFA.

Yeah, did you see the part above where I said, "THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD"?  Rather than try and act like I know the legal nomenclature, when I don't, I answered the question honestly.

I'm not sure I need to have a lawyer's knowledge or ATF inspectors knowledge of what is meant by "CLASS III DEALER".

I know the guys I need to go to in order to legally procure a machine gun, suppressor, etc...

It's some sort of sub-classification of an FFL/DEALER's licensing.  To a layman, it matters -- not at all.

Cheers.

Probably meant to say a classification of FFL, to deal in machine guns, but fudged it.

Hell, I may have even misheard what he said, as I was still in awe of the dealer sample Sig552 and the P90.

Not to mention his personal SAW Para...

Again, I chalk it up to shit I don't really need to know...
