I have a compaq computer.  A couple of weeks ago, the pictures got fuzzy and my .gif animations quit working.  I called customer service, and they told me it was a virus, and just run a virus program.  I ran pc-cillian.  It said I had some spyware, but no virus.  I ran it again, same thing, no virus.
Anyone know how I can get rid of this fuzzy stuff?

ETA:  I am running Windows XP.
How do I post a picture of a screenshot?

Thanks,

John

Rule #1 for people asking for computer assistance:  Please state your operating system.

Your symptoms are vague.  Your pictures are fuzzy?  What does that mean?  Only pictures, not text?  What if the picture is of text?  Maybe you should post a screenshot.

There is a good online scan that is free. It found things for me that Norton or Mcafee did not.
