The wife and I went to see it today.
I liked that it picked up pretty much right where the last one left off, but they also put in a little intro/recap at the beginning so anyone who hadn't seen the first one wouldn't be lost.
I thought the gratuitous gore/dismemberment factor was a little high in this installment (nothing nastier than last time, but more of those kinds of scenes), but otherwise it was an enjoyable flick. Only question I have is in the fight with William, why did Celine keep looking for and picking up guns, when it was obvious they weren't effective against him?
Ending was interesting, and left the door open for a third installment. Which I hope they
don't do... when it comes to sequels, the third time is never a charm.
ETA - oh yeah, and why on EARTH would a parent take their 8 year old kid to see a movie like this?? I noticed a few kids as we were coming out of the theater. Yikes. I'm sure they'll sleep just fine tonight!
