I've only been on one cruise, and that was to Cozymel. 4 nights, left from Galveston. The 'boat scene' was fine for the firs day or so, then it was boring after that. Face it, you're stuck on a boat for however many days, and there are only so many things you can do on said boat. We were on Royal Carribean, which was a very nice boat. The food was great, the service was impeccable, the people were extremely friendly. Nothing wrong with the cruise bit, I just didn't like being on a time limit when the boat came to port. We found we didn't have enough time to do the things we wanted to do, and the activities we actually had time for were booked up, since everyone else on the boat wanted to do them, too. It was relaxing, yes, but there's only so much sitting by the pool I can take before I kill somebody. Would I do it again? More than likely not, unless it was a cruise to Alaska with several days to stick around and do whatever. YMMV.
