Would that kill an animal the size of a bird? I'm guessing yes (respiratory failure?). That would be fucking cruel to spray on an animal for fun. If you need to kill a pest, shoot it.

That leaves evidence.  Unless you SSS it.  That sounds like too much work.

The can claims 2 million heat units, not sure if its true. Its a hell of alot hotter then the stuff they give out at work, i gave it the sniff test made me cough.

Won't hurt them at all.  Pepper does not effect birds.  I feed my my lovebirds and parrot Cayanne flavored seed treats.

Now, when the wife goes out to service the feeder some questions are going to come about.

I'm not sure that birds are at all affected by hot pepper: http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mchili.html

However, you'd have to be some kind of asshat to leave food for small animals contaminated by a chemical spray.

I'm glad you didn't take my post the wrong way thinking that I was calling you cruel, since I know it was an accident and you didn't spray it on any birds.

And is modern pepper spray (like FOX Labs stuff) actually derived from the chemicals in peppers?

Maybe that's hot enough to make the birds spontaneously combust

Post picks of the birdies at the feeder flaktower.
Seriously, I know birds eat chili patins and lots of other hot shit without problems.
