Figure a 15% loss, you'll want a manual valve body and a trans brake in that transmission, see if you can borrow the tools, keep the pistons around 10:1 on pump gas, consider TRW forged, and J.B. Hunt sucks.  You're welcome.

So, what you're saying, is "My wife went online to search for a new shotgun butt pad for my birthday.  You can imagine her surprise when, after typing in 'butt', Internet Explorer suggested, 'butt fuck sluts go nuts'".

Actually, my personal laptop here at work is shared with 2-3 coworkers. I really didn't like the idea of exposing all my searches to them...Innocent as it may be...

It's a simple question, somebody answered it, and my sorry attempt at humor indicates that comedy is not something I should try for a living.

Hehe...  I thought it was funny, and not too far off from what I'm doing.
I just didn't get to reply to your post yet.

I'm looking to convert my '86 Turbo Regal from a 200r4 trans to a TH400 trans with a reverse manual valve body and transbrake. The trans I'm 'gonna buy needs rebuilt, and since I sold off my tranny tools years ago, I was looking to replace them and build the trans myself.
Actual real world horsepower loss is closer to 20-25% with an automatic, and 15-17% with a manual trans.
I was looking for a "horsepower consumption" comparison between the 200r4 and TH400.
Still haven't found the answers I'm looking for. I remember reading somewhere that the TH400 takes approx 45hp to turn...
As far as pistons, TRW's have been proven pretty reliable in daily driven vehicles. The high-dollar stuff has problems with long term use.
8.0-1 is ideal for a turbocharged engine, and at 28psi boost, pump gas is out of the question in my car. Not to mention the additional 100hp from a nitrous bottle in the trunk.

<---Not an IT guru, but pretty dangerous with software and code just the same...and I am just SLIGHTLY out of my teens <<cough>>...and loving Firefox...

DRAGONRACER:
Once you switch to Firefox (and you really really should---think about it---all the bad guys target IE because it's the most used browser) do the following:
Tools/Options/Privacy HISTORY---plug in 0 and it will forget ALL you've typed the minute you close your browser.

Not to veer too far off topic, but Firefox DOES run slowly - on older machines.  If you have trouble with FireFox, likely you'll have trouble with the latest versions of IE anyhow.

Firefox is great, but has some disadvantages.  Some sites don't load correctly, plugins sometimes don't work right.  I've had two sites not load, and it took me a couple hours to get the Java plugin to work.  This, however, is over THREE YEARS of usage.

Firefox, although perfect, is clearly the superior product.

I use mozilla (basically netscape) because I won't use IE.  Mozilla is a pretty decent browser, but it's slower than I like (but it's a sacrafice that I willingly make).  I like the options that it has, and I like that I can delete it if I want to (unlike IE, which I am still trying to get rid of).
