I live in PA.
My boss lives in NJ.

He wants to buy my SIG. I called the local FFL in NJ and he tells me sure, he'll do it, but since it is a private sale we really do not need to use him. I just fill out my boss's NJ's handgun permit paperwork and mail it in.

Is it really that easy? What about the NICS check?

Well, in Free America you just give him the pistol and he gives you the cash.  Some people might use a homemade Bill of Sale.  As your boss lives in the PRNJ I have no clue.

Handgun sales across state lines require at least an FFL in the buyers state to accept delivery and transfer the gun.
Find a smarter FFL than the first guy.

Rule #1. If said pistol is loaded, be polite during the transaction.
