MVP's were the referees. I really didn't care who won, but after watching all of Seattle,s great plays being nullified by questionable calls, I started rooting for them. Heck, the referees even called a time out for Pittsburg when they ran the clock out trying to get a play off. When they ran the replay, no player could be seen asking for a time out. I wonder how much the refs had on the game?
My wife like figure skating, but you can see the obvious bias in that sprot and gymnastics. The stars get better marks no matter what they do while a no name can do a perfect performance and still get rated low.
Favorite moment in the Winter Olympics in Japan was when the male French figure skated did a back flip right in front of the judges. That is an illegal move in international competition. When asked about it afterwards, he replied that he didn't care whether they liked it or not. He knew he would never get good marks no matter how good he skated, so he performed for the audience, not the judges.
