Wilson Pickett, soul singer of the 1960s, just died of a heart attack, 64 years old. Just heard it on the BBC. Sorry if a dupe- didn't see it in search.

Years of hard living and numerous ex-wives clawing at his $$ got to him, I think. The life of a soul man was not an easy one.

I really enjoyed his music, though I wasn't even yet born when he was making much of it. I loved a lot of the music from the 60's, and soul was a particularly genre I found exceptional during this period.
