Springfield GI .45 can be had in the low $400s range. A true-spec 1911 that is reliable and won't break the bank.
Other than that, look for deals in the EE. If you don't care about looks or a quality trigger pull, Ruger P-series autos are cheap and reliable too. |

CZ-75B should go for under $400
I have XDs, a HighPower and the CZ. I prefer the CZ. It feels and shoots better. Although the XD is more reliable amongst the three. |

I really gotta handle a CZ some time. Every thing I have ever read about them makes them sound like the most undervalued firearm out there. Most bang for the buck, if you will.

Absolutely. Get the rubber grips and they feel ALMOST as good as Sig. 100% reliable. Accurate. Definitely best bang for the buck. |

got a police surplus factory refurb Glock 17 from www.summitgunbrokers.com with 2 hi cap mags delivered for $344. They had used G17 hi-cap mags for $11/each but somebody cleaned them out.  CDNN also has Walther p99 DAO's for $299.  wganz ¶ |
