I dont since the battery died. But its usually a cheapy from a gas station. They last the longest for me.

Fossil
I just want a watch that will keep me from being late to work etc, etc. I would rather spend hunks of money on guns. Of course when you have lots of money, it's much simpler to buy both. |
None of the above, casio g-shock. Seiko for dressier occasions.
-1972 Omega Speedmaster (before they but the commemorative sit on there)
-Poljot Aviator -Citizen Navihawk (what a p.o.s!!) |
Are we going to compare bathrooms next?
Where is Hielo when you really need him? Eric The(OstentatiousDisplaysOfMaterialWealthAreForBums)Hun |

Two hairs past the freckle.
I'm too hard on watches and they tend to bother me, so I don't wear them, even though I really should. |
I take it it's the $5 watch for you then? |
I don't own a watch. It removes a lot of stress from your life. Try it.
None of the above.
Seiko. $100. The last one held on for over ten years, so I got another. It isn't a rolex or omega, or a five dollar piece of shit. Ot both (ro-mega... om-lex??) |
Pretty much. The last watch I bought was the infamous AR15.com watch...for $140.00. That was about 2 years ago and it still keeps on ticking. Again, what's with the continuing discussions of material wealth on this Board? I think a poll a few years back had approximately 20% of our members unemployed.... Nice. Eric The(LetThemEatCake)Hun |

I slept at Holiday Inn Express and saved money by switching to Geico. Hopefully that will help Eric the (non-conspicuous spending) Hun sleep better tonight.

Same with me. Except it's $25 and a Casio. For "dressier" occasions (e.g., yet another job interview so they can tell me I'm "overqualified" or "don't have enough experience"...it's too big...it's too little...) I have some shiny $40 Timex thing, because HR people, like most lower forms of life, are facinated by shiny things and thus easier to beguile. Both keep excellent time which is, of course, the important thing. As for our uncivilized friend above who said not to wear a watch?! Utmost savagery! Think of it this way: knowledge is power. If I know what time it is and you don't, that means I have knowledge that you don't and hence am more powerful than you! Ha! I and my trusty watch could destroy you! Do you really want to run around bare-wristed and take that chance? |

Indeed, it should. After reading your post, I nodded off for a few minutes... Eric The(Slumbering)Hun |

Nice Fortis man, that's next on my list of watches to get!
None, I use my cell phone.
If I am going out dressed up for something, I have an 1918 Waltham railroad watch that I carry... I like antiques |
Nuts to your 21 jewel Seiko! I only have 17, although I never really counted them. What does a jewel look like in a watch? Anybody? Heck, I'm just surprised it's hung on this long. The last watch repairman told me not to bring it back. I wasn't going to, the guy was a jerk. |
I buy nothing but cheap Timexes anymore. I had a G Shock that lasted for many years, but I can't justify buying an expensive watch thats just going to get banged around and if its damaged at work, the employer only covers a small per centage of the replacement cost. The cheap ones run a year or two and then I buy a replacement.

+1 watches are for worriers. |
to who? |
Or people that actually have to be somewhere on time. |

I just cant see paying over $50 for a watch. A rolex tells time no better than a casio
Yes, but the Rolex does work better with your matching man purse and earrings. |
No option for NONE ?
Between my cellphone/PDA/laptop/desktop/GPS I have no need of one. |
Rolex GMT master II ,which I bought as a present to myself, and seldom wear. My everyday watch is a Vostok Amphibian-a good, reliable automatic watch, but I wish it had a harder crystal. Oh,well-they are only $45.

We are actually more fascinated by people who don't walk into a job interview with a negative attitude towards HR. Hate us as you will, you will love to be our friend when you want us to give you a speedy employment verification for your lease, or when you want to discuss a transfer to a new location to improve your life. Not to mention you'll love us more when you see us breaking our backs for you and fellow associates. And who hires people that wear a Timex? You'd get my approval if you were wearing a sundial instead of some fancy chronograph. |

I have a Rolex air king gold that I wear on special occassions but wear a $200 Swiss Army watch most of the time. Knowing the time isn't a reason to get a gun stuck in your ear ... " ... give up the watch foo!"
Two hairs past the freckle. And almost to the pimple. No watch for me either. There's a clock on the dash of my work rig and one on my cell phone - more than enough. |
For work, and old, beat to shit Timex. Most other times, a Seiko.
I avoid stress by not looking at it unless I need to know what time it is. And if we're going to complain about excessive displays of wealth, how about we start with all of the high-dollar tactical'ed out guns? We all know all you really need is a 10/22 and a 38 , so anything else is just an ostentations display of material wealth. |
