Filas are great dogs!
Be careful though. They truely look for the alpha in the pack and will challenge anyone who doesn't fall into that certain role. I would like to get one but I will not as long as my son is a child. Don't get me wrong, they are not overly mean or viscious, they are just very pack driven. They will give their lives for you in a minute. Good protection dogs. |

dogbreedinfo.com/filabrasileiro.htm They don't sound like the ideal family dog. Remember that in family/protection dog, if there are going to be kids around then the "family" part has to come first. It says the Fila WILL attack strangers, which is probably more aggression than the average person will want. If you want something big and really terrifying but still absolutely great with kids, try a Shiloh Shepherd |
