Tehran, Iran, Jan. 14 –

Radical Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad demanded once again on Saturday that Iran be permitted to send inspectors to evaluate “human rights abuses” in the European Union.

In a press conference in Tehran which was aired on state television, Ahmadinejad said that Tehran was ready to dispatch a committee to states which accuse it of violating human rights. Iran would then allow inspectors from those countries to come to Iran to carry out their evaluations, he said.

“We will send teams to write and publish reports on the condition of jails, tortures, discriminations, election procedures, economic actions that end up against the benefit of their people, support for terrorists, as well as the judicial, parliamentary, and administrative systems of countries that claim to speak out for human rights.

He said that he had yet to receive a response from Western countries regarding his proposal.

Yessir..he sounds just like Saddam before we went in and kicked that ass.

Whistling by a graveyard..he is. How come  Khaddafi seems to be the only smart one to back down and allow inspections and capitulate? Surely this Iranian moron knows what happened in Iraq?

He also knows that, other than a protracted bombing campaign, we don't have the force reserve to go in and kick his ass. Between Iraq, Afghanistan, and our other commitments, ie. South Korea, we are out of units in sufficient strength to do much else.

Anybody else feel that draft?

I doubt it..our air campaign would be just fine, it's the ground war I would worry about. We have'nt been doing a whole of sorties with the USAF forces the past year. Not compared to the early days of Iraq. This joker has no clue at what capabilities we have right now. If he thinks we can't bomb him repeatedly and effectively, he's wrong.

What the heck is the problem?  If he's offering a "fair trade" of inspections, call his bluff and agree to it.  Do we have something to hide, or what?

He's a Mega fundamentalist.  Killing infidels and martyring his people are both acceptable outcomes for him.  Don't make the mistake of thinking his thought processes or motivations are similar to ours here in the West.
