in the James Bond movie "Man with the Golden Gun" Roger Moore is in Thailand and gets into a boat and cant get the motor started, then a small Thai boy trying to sell a hand carved wooden elephant helps him start the motor, after he is offered a certain amount of money?

how much money did he say he would pay the boy for the elephant? how many "baht"?? how much is it in american dollars?

20,000 baht. 1 baht is about 2.5 US cents at this point, but back then was worth more because of the exchange rate. Right now 20,000 is $500 US dollars, back them I'm not sure...

Either way you can blame Bond for pushing the kid out of the boat after it got running again...lol
