That was posted by Aug himself in his BOTD thread. I wouldn't think he'd post airsoft? BOTD= (Baffling devices Of The Day) |
You are not kidding ! |
I thought you meant the poster SteyrAug was ghey, which is incorrect. He likes ghey girl on girl action, but that has nothing to do with rifles. |
They were until they stopped importing them, now lots of people seem to want one.
I certainly hope SteyrAUG doesn't think I was talking about him! |
Yo, don' be hatin' on da brutha just cause he gots a Shrike!!
I got the joke but then I got to thinking why would John_Wayne777 know so much about his likes and dislikes ???? Not that there's anything wrong with that |

I felt the same way in the 80's until I fired one in FA. I think you will change your mind if you get the chance.
That being said I was looking/hoping for the fireworks to begin after you called him gehy...I'm bored also! |
If you have been here for longer than 10 minutes you know a few things: Sarge was banned Clean_Cut posed as a girl O_P likes to shoot stuff and SteyrAUG likes porn. |
I wish that Steyr Augs were gay, then they would be cheaper. Even the magazines are high priced.
Best use of Steyr Aug's in a bad movie? (Wasn't it Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man?) |
Didn't she do some terrible movie with a Baldwin, or was that Sharon Stone??? |
I agree the old models did look gay.
The new ones with the rails and everything look bad ass. |

That rifle isn't gay because the blond dude in Die Hard used one. And we all know there is nothing gay about blond guys with long hair.
Well, it could be explained by....what red blooded American male DOESN'T like some good lesbo action! As far as the AUG being teh ghey...I wouldn't go that far...but hen compared to a nice M4 with rail system handguards, VFG, Aimpoint ot EOTECH, etc...its kind of like spoken French versus spoken German....one sounds kind of soft and feminine, and not at all war like, while the other is hard, angular, and sounds like the Blitzkrieg is coming..... |

I just never liked bull-pup rifles. I don't feel right with the bolt and chamber and such right next to my head. Maybe it's just me...
I enjoy my TWO Steyr AUGs over any AR15's For a gun that was adopted in 1977, the Steyr AUG was a WAY ahead of its time. Here is a list of what makes the AUG a great rifle: Compact size (20" AUG is the same size as a Thompson SMG) Polymer construction Quick Change barrel system Clear plastic mags ( Now SIG, and HK use this) 1.5 Circle optic sight ( look how long it took get low power optics on our armed forces to use optic sights. Aimpoint ,Trijicon, EO Tech......) The AUG is an unconventional rifle...but shoot one and then you will see why people like them. Chris |
No, your not alone, i am not comfortable with a chamber right by my ear either ! |
i love my AUG, i just wish barrels and small parts were more abundant and cheaper.
Tell you what,
Send me one, and I'll give y'all a rangereport through the eyes of someone that doesn't like the looks of them! |
I agree. I don't know why people think they are so desirable. |
I agree that the Styr Aug is one ugly gun. While the little foregrep doesnt help - its the gay ass scope that really tops it off.
Why does polymer construction and plastic mags make a gun great? I bought a brand new one about 20 years ago when they first imported them. I think I paid about $800 for it. I sold it in a few months because real guns shouldn't be made of plastic and have plastic hammers/triggers/sears. Seriously, the main reason I sold it is because I had an issue where it would have occasional misfires from light primer hits. |
I think that you mean that it's AUGly!
I remeber seeing them in SGN in the 80's for 799. As I recall, nobody wanted them. On a recent trip to Austria, I saw a soldier in the Vienna airport with an AUG and a Glock. Great Austian plastic! The black AUGs are the shiznit. |
Huh? The AUGs VFG is more comfortable and ergonomic than any other...and its the same size. It also folds up out of the way, unlike what else is available And how the the scope gay? Top name 1.5x scope w/range finding 'donut of death' |
Polymer mags and plastic mags do not make the AUG great...but you have to admit the Steyr AUG was ahead of its time. If 20 to 30 years after the AUG was adopted by the Austrian Army we see guns like SIG 550/ HK G36 using mags that are plastic like the AUG. And we see guns like FNP90, FN2000, Tavor, G36, UMP MP7, Walther G22, Beretta Storm etc etc using polymer construction like the AUG. The AUG is not THE GREATEST rifle ever built but it does deserve to be considered a gun that was a head of its time, and help to inspire other weapons. Chris |

hey - this thing got a whole lot better looking last week when everyone starting posting picture of that god awful looking PS 90 thing.
but, in a fight, I would still rather have this than a stick! |

Classic. |

You must have forgot about the unbuttoned v-neck there for a sec. Glad you caught yourself. |

It's quite obvious that you have never shot a F/A Aug. Looks are one thing, performance is another. A F/A Aug is like a Vegas orgasm compared to a M16.
