Well yeah...you can't do one of these without Chuck Norris. |
I see No. 8, Master of the Flying Guillotine - it's been on satellite lately - and no. 3 is probably Enter the Dragon. (Or some other Bruce Lee flick.)
But as I'm not a fan of Gung-Fu movies, I'm quitting here. Oh, was The Five Deadly Venoms one of the others? I go bored one night a while back and got desperate. |
#1 is definately 5 Deadly Venoms. No clue about the rest, chop socky isn't my area of expertise. Not enough poon.
#5 is a Chuck Norris Roundhouse, baby! Boy, his ass looks good in them jeans. |
LOL Only crappy kung foo pic i had ever seen i figured i would not know any of them I love the chezzy loud ass ricochet sound the flying guillotine makes The one armed boxer " thats some good jumping " LOL great dialog |
is #4 "Street Fighter"(the 70's version not the Van Damme one)?
#2 might be "Shaolin Master Killer", I do remember seeing one that looked like that when "Kung Fu Theater" was on when I was a kid.
Kung Fu theater, that was the shit back in the day. Love the trampoline jumps and the typewriter blocking sounds. |
We need some cheesy sound effects to go along with the pictures.
"Take the loser away!" |
Yeah you're right. I just got both of those on DVD and thought it was the other one. Trying to convert all my Shaw Bros. over to DVD. Gotta long way to go |

Actually Enter The Dragon isn't one of the films. |
Centipede, not scorpion, but otherwise correct. |

5 and 6 are the same movie. The Red X.
ETA: Opps, now 4 is The Red X. |
#10 is the 1985 classic, "Two Wongs Make a White" Starring Lucy Li, May I, and Brock Studlong.

Correct. |

Is 7 Half a Loaf of Kung Fu? Damn I'm fuzzy on my Jackie Chan movies (1st thought was Master with Cracked Fingers).
<-----------------------------------------
Did someone say we needed a Chuck Norris icon???? |
Close but no cookie. Chan movies are kind hard to keep track of, he did about 50 of them at least in the late 70s and early 80s. |
i thought 6 was master killer, but it could just be the same guy.
3. Sorry number 3 is Chinese Connection.
I also spy Sony Chiba in Street Fighter. 5 Deadly Venoms is a great one. The Sequal had many of the same actors and is even better (in my opinion) and delt with over comming disablities. It had nothing to do with the orginal Venom film though. Also Chuck Norris in blue jeans is from Return of the Dragon. Doing a mighty fine round house too.
That is Drunken Master 2 I think. |
1. 5 Deadly Venoms (totally sweet)
2. One of the Bruce Lee knock offs. Probably Bruce Li 3. "The Man" Bruce Lee in Chinese Connection 4. Sony Chiba Street Fighter 5. Chuck giving a good round house in Retrun of the Dragon 6. I have no idea but it looks totally sweet 7. I thought it was Drunken Master but the more I look at it I want to say one of his earlier films. I am going to stick with druken master though. 8. I have no idea but it looks totally sweet 9. Japanese actor. I forget his name. Was in Game of Death and Return of the Dragon. 10. Master Bruce. From the lost Game of Death footage. |

I think 7 is Jackie Chan's "Snake in the eagle's shadow". Cool movie and I have it saved on my computer.
I recomend "Mr. Vampire" to anyone who has not seen it yet.
One of the funiest Kung Fu movies ever. |
Correct. |
Correct on Chuck Norris, but wrong movie. Also it is not a roundhouse but a spinning hook kick. |

It would take a seriously geeky chop-socky film buff to nail them - there are soooo many films, and some have 3 titles or 6 sequals, it's hard to keep them all straight. And, worse, they all pretty much are the same movie if you wanna get techincal - only the scenery or actors changed - so confusion is understandable. I only know as much as I do because I used to help a girlfriend who was big into them try to find them on VHS way back when, and damn some movies went by 6 different english titles! |

If you know the answers, then the hive mind knows the answers. The hive mind that is ARFCOM is a collective of the individuals. (tag... I love kung fu theater) |
Good thing I didn't use any of the Wong Fei Hung movies from the 1940s. |
I could have probably gotten the character right if you did - at that time in HK they were the most popular movies FWIU....and the first kung-fu serials. |
I guess since nobody is going to get them all... 1. Five Deadly Venoms - The Venoms 2. Challenge of the Ninja (aka Heroes of the East) - Gordon Liu 3. Chinese Connection (aka Fists of Fury) - Bruce Lee 4. The Street Fighter - Sonny Chiba 5. An Eye for an Eye - Chuck Norris 6. Master Killer (aka The 36 Chambers) = Gordon Liu 7. Fearless Hyena - Jackie Chan 8. Master of the Flying Guillotine - Jimmy Wang Yu 9. Five Fingers of Death - Lieh Lo 10. Bruce Lee - The Man, The Myth - Bruce Li |
