With his touring schedule, he probalby sees at least a million faces a year.

I'm sure he's seen a million faces, but I doubt he's rocked them all.

That was fucking huge in the late eighties, so yeah, I think that's entirely possible.

I say by now, yes.

However, at the time the song first came out, I don't think Bon Jovi had been around long enough to have performed for 1 million people.  So I say no.

Well, the "and rocked them all" part is what made me vote no.

Someone get a calculator please. 1,000,000 divided by a stadium show of 10,000 people means 100 shows to have "rocked" (like the term/band or not) a million people. He could have easily done this within the same year that song was a hit by doing a whopping 2 shows per week. (uh 2 shows per week is slacking for a rock tour) They most likely did 4 shows per week.

Some shows may have been smaller, but more should have been larger than 10K.

Here's a little more details: circa 1988 New Jersey is released (October)
Headline tour (237 shows, 26 countries in 16 months)

I hope you guys don't need to calculate ballistics or mil-dots.

No.

There were three middle aged persons back in 1987, who attended the Bon Jovi concert in Houston.  They were definitely NOT "rocked."  However, everyone else was.

So, he has actually rocked 999,997 people.

If I recall, most of the fans at Bon Jovi concerts were rabid, horny females prayin that Bon jovi might look at them for a second. Damn near every girl I knew between the ages of 16 and 26 would have let Mr Jovi defile them in any way he chose. Some of them still would.
It would not surprise me at all if they have played to well over 5 million people. He has probably played to a million in Japan alone. he has sold out the Meadowlands (Giants Stadium) a few times.
He hasnt rocked all those people but I am sure he has rocked the large majority of them.
Also, I believe that Bon Jovi should be considered the "Chuck Norris" of the Chick Metal    genre of Metal that he created and ruled.
I am not a Bon Jovi Fan but I sure was tired jealous of him after hearing what a couple of my sleazy metal girlfriend was willing to do for him.
He has got so much ass he's an a$$tronaut.
