I hope a physician can help me with this.
My girlfriend started her period two weeks ago and it hasnt seemed to end yet. She's still bleeding (not an abnormal amount or anything) but the color has stayed red, and hasnt trickeld down to the brown color that usually occurs near the end of her period... I know the possibilities are endless, but can anyone help her out here? Thanks |

Hows about you get off the damn internet and take her to a real doctor...
Why people have issues they KNOW isnt right and could be a real serious issue ask for advice online (especially a firearms forum) is beyond me... edit: Im not trying to be rude to you, but please, go to a doctor... |
Lots of missing info.
First, make sure she is not pregnant. Don't hope or assume she's not pregnant, MAKE SURE she's not pregnant. If she is, go to a hospital immediately. Is she pale, dizzy, nauseated, sweaty? If she is, go to a hospital immediately. If none of the above apply, call her Gyn for an eval this week. Usually hormonal glitches for a variety of reasons are responsible. Many other possibilities exist, though less likely. Further advice per ARDOC. |

yea sorry for the lack of info..
its actually been morelike 3 weeks with bleeding. She feels fine..none of that headache.dizziness or anything just extended bleeding. Does not take BCP, never taken them in fact nor is on any medications currently. Never had any surgeries or pregnancies either. The reason we havent gone to a real doctor yet is cause she flat out refuses to see one for now unless the bleeding gets worse. Shes trying to "sit it out", and also no health insurance so shes real keen on saving money. WOrries me because if it gets worse it'll cost more money anyway.... THe possibilities are endless though for waht could be wrong, and im guessing short of an ultrasound and some blood tests we wont know anything.. Just trying to see what I can find out. Thanks |

You know too much about your girlfriend's period. |
Here is your help. Drag her ass to a REAL M.D. now. If her OBGYN won't see her then goto the emergency room. When it comes to you loved ones you can afford to be a little over protective. Personally I think its great you know this about her.
How can you trust something that bleeds for 2 weeks and hasn't died yet?
(See the doctor.) |
that's what I was thinking. |

Girlfriend or wife, you better damn well know when it starts and when it ends. |
Me too. |

ARDOC is probably neck deep in p*ssy right now. Take her to a doc asap.
I'm an amateur gynecologist.
I suggest you have her go see a doc. I bet you'll regret not spending that $100 if she croaks. |
Yeah, WTF are you doing posting about it on ARFCOM? Take her to Urgent Care or to the ER right away. If it were my wife, that's what I'd do. |
"Oh Ward, don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night?"
At least get her into the local Urgent Care, it will run about $65 for the basic visit.
Bleeding could be caused by several things including a tubal pregnancy, seriously not good..... DO NOT MESS AROUND. |
My GF had a similar problem, it was hormonal. I know this because she went to a DOCTOR.
Although I feel sorry for the guys that had to clean the floor in our hotel room. After a few days, it looked like a murder scene. |

I'm more of an semi-professional Vaginal Spelunker myself. |

Yep...pretty soon youll be calling it "Our Period" |
Take her to the nearest ER.
They have to treat her, insurance or not. DO IT NOW! Bleeding is nothing to wait out. |
I think this woul dhave been better posted on the wimmenz board. GR |
This will be someone's sig line before the day is out....... |

Dude....that bleeding sounds serious. That's how my wife found out she had cervical cancer. Take her to an OB/GYN NOW.
You guys without womenz can laugh at him all you want...
when I was younger I kept up with my girlfriend's (at the time) cycle due to pregnancy scares. take her to a doctor!!! when I was 17 I came close to being a daddy Knew something was wrong when the gf bled for several weeks. OBGYN told us it was an early miscarriage...thankfully she didn't need a DNC. |

TMI!!! |
I'm shocked no one has requested pics yet.
Is this thread better or worse than the cat penis thread? |
this thread is worthless without pics. |
Note to all: While it may sound intriguing, you probably really don't want to read threads that ask for a gynecologist.
Damn, figures someone beat me to it!!! Seriously, she needs to get checked out. First, do the pregnancy test. Then make an appointment. FWIW, a scheduled visit is much cheaper than a visit to the ER. |
What is with all the wussies talking about TMI? Youse must be the kids that haven't ever had a woman yet. Believe me, you WILL know this stuff.
How old is she? This is a pre-menopausal symptom, i it applies. |
You can avoid knowing if you try hard enough. |
Not too unexpected, but still get her in to see someone. Just a clinic visit is okay.
If she is having pain, weakness, fainting, or something you would judge as serious or lifethreatening, go to the ER. If there is any possibilty she is / could be pregnant Go to the ER It could be a number of things, not necessarily Cancer etc. If she has a doctor just call their office, especially if she already has a OB GYN. They would give you the best advice and ask all of the pertinent questions that dont need to be dealt with on ARFCOM. |

Not only have I "had a woman", I have also participated in the birth of our son. When it comes to her period, I am not an expert nor do I want to become one . That is what her doctor is for. I also do not buy her tampons at the store for her either. Knowing all about her period and its color, etc. is grounds for handing in your man card, IMHO. |
Trust me I know when it's that time of the month. I just don't want the details. |
Why hasn't she gone to the doctor yet?!?!? Regardless of what information you may gather here, she'll still have to see a gyno. Get her there. NOW.
