1/9/06, 1:30PM...I was sitting the porch reading the paper and enjoying the higher than normal temps (high was 63 yesterday).
I saw something out of the corner of my eye and it was a plain old bee. In January. Not like we haven't had any cold weather this winter either. High on Saturday was around 38, low around 17. We've had warm weather (upper 40's, lower 50's) for the last week, but for the 3 weeks before that, our highest temp was 38. Lowest was 7. Weird...

I saw a few today actually when I was out and about earlier. What part of VA are you in? I'm a little north of Winchester.

I killed a Water Moccasin, 2 weeks ago around lunch time. It had beeen 25 earlier that morning.
They are surely not supposed to be out this time of year with it this cold. TS |
