When at Balaclava we landed quite sound,
we were cold, wet and hungry, and lay on the ground. 'Twas early next morning that we got the call for to fetch a hot breakfast of powder and ball. |

I have a poly fleece balaclava I got from Sportsman's Guide. I really like it but I have one problem. It is sewn together on the inside up the back, over your head, and down your forehead. That big clump of material stabs my forehead and bugs the crap out of me. It kind of hurts. When I take it off I have a big mark on my forehead that last about an hour. It looks like a big red gash.
One time my sister in law was over when I had just came in from riding the 4 wheeler. I took off the balaclava and she started freaking out. "Oh God, what happened to your head?" It looked like someone took an ax to my skull.

Or warm during a run in sub-freezing temps. This is what it is truly good for. Tactical? Not I, friend, not I. |

Wearing one during cold weather = ok. Wearing one when it's hot outside just to look tactical = not ok. |
