saw this last night. looks like kind of a rehash of "officer and a gentleman"...white boy from the wrong side of the track wins a spot at annapolis on the boxing team and his protagonist is a black instructor who challenges him and pushes him to the limit. but hey, if it puts our guys in uniform in a good light, i'm all for remakes...

anybody hear anything else about willis and "deuce four" or whatever it's called?

Yeah, Officer and a Gentleman, that's what I thought too.  I wonder if they'll portray the high-pressure annual croquet match between the middies and the johnnies.

Officer and a Gentleman is the exact same thing I thought of the instant I saw the commercial for it.

THis movie wasn't even filmed at the Naval Academy or anywhere else near Annapolis, MD.
Nothing in the movie was remotely real.
