saw this last night. looks like kind of a rehash of "officer and a gentleman"...white boy from the wrong side of the track wins a spot at annapolis on the boxing team and his protagonist is a black instructor who challenges him and pushes him to the limit. but hey, if it puts our guys in uniform in a good light, i'm all for remakes...
 anybody hear anything else about willis and "deuce four" or whatever it's called? |

Yeah, Officer and a Gentleman, that's what I thought too. I wonder if they'll portray the high-pressure annual croquet match between the middies and the johnnies.

The commercial calls Annapolis the toughest military academy. is it tougher then the Point?
Anyway, I had the same reaction, "Officer and Gentlemaggot" rehash. They need to do a movie about a college boy joining up and thinking he's better than everyone, with a 10th grade educated sergeant who's smarter than college boy ever will be. Or punk assed 2nd Lt with a God complex and is a total soup sammich gets his shit straightened out by his old school platoon Sgt. Hopefully Willis will make a Hoah Deuce Four flick that won't suck. |
