Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Computer Geeks....Er...Gurus...Need your help!

Lately, any time I click on a link which would open up a new window (in Outlook Express or in regular windows) the computer freezes up, the link doesn't open, and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del and then end it through the task manager.

I'm running XP on a fairly good machine that I've had for a couple of years.  This is a new problem.  No new software, I use Norton's and I keep it updated.

HELP!

go to tools then options.  click mail format.    make sure its on html
 then make sure word is your default email editor.

Okay, I went to tools then options.  But there is no mail format.  I looked in windows and OE.  What gives?
