I hereby revoke Nasser Karimi's permit to ever use the word 'elite' again, as he obviously doesn't have a damned clue what it means.

A small military passenger jet crashed in northwestern Iran today, killing the commander of the ground forces of the elite Revolutionary Guards and at least 12 other people, official media reported.

It was the second time in two months that a military plane has crashed in Iran. On both occasions, the planes were carrying passengers and attempting to make an emergency landing.

This time it was Bush's fault!

Yep.  If innocent non-Iranians die it was "Allah's will."

If Iranian regime members die it was the Mossad.

Were these individuals ones leaning toward peace with the west?

Or were they loyal to the Ayahtolla and their loony president?

Wasn't there some Tom Clancy novel where Navy SEALs or somebody else (Rangers?) landed in enemy territory and were knocking down enemy a/c taking off and landing using hi-powered lasers to blind the pilots, causing huge fiery crashes? Aerial tankers, IIRC.

Maybe life is imitating art?

Great questions.  Maybe the mullahs are weeding out any pro-western militray commanders they don't trust to be totally loyal to Iran in case SHTF.  Great way to do it without outright executions.
