Balistics Equations?

I want to write a graphical user interface that plots the balistics curves of handloads using certain bbls, powders, calibers, etc...

I was wondering what equations are out there to accuractely predict how a bullet will fire based on the variables.

Oh yea... I'm doing this for engineering open house at UIUC...

Since you're doing it for a project, how about taking data (yourself or ask here--Old Painless?) with some variables (charge, projectile, barrel length, etc.) and then creating the proper equations yourself?

I'm saying that only because it would look more impressive as an engineering project. I have no idea what kind of time frame you're looking at, nor what guidelines have been imposed.

Even more impressive would be to use the available formulas then verify the accuracy of those by doing your own tests.
