If it's just for fun and something neat for the kids (Doesn't have to be real) Go to the local Petsmart and they have a machine in the front that engraves tags for pets. One of the styles is just like (shape and color) of the military dog tags. You just enter what you want it to say on the computer and it engraves the tag nicely..

We have them in my store, 1-888-627-0361. Not sure what the going rate is as I have been there for less than 2 months in the last year and a half.
