I loves me some Miami Vice!!

Especially when Phillip Michael Thomas overacts!!

Watching the show now where they are closing in on Calderone....I think they get him??

Ahhh, the memories of many a Friday night in front of the tube.

I like the TV Miami Vice when it first aired on network TV.  But many of the lbieral complained about the show being too violent and from there it just went down hill.  All of these movie remakes by people who watched the show when they were younger, just doesn't capture the look and feel of the original TV show.  I think one of the few TV shows to actually evolve into a sucessful movie(s) was Star Trek.

I remember when the soundtrack came out - everyone bought the cassette tape and drove around in the car with it blasting pretending they were crocket or tubbs. I can't think of another soundtrack that has had that kind of effect on people.

Two episodes I liked were the Willie Nelson episode, and the G. Gordon Liddy episode.

In the Willie Nelson one, the hitmen had a LeFrance M-16K in their van.

Used to watch every Friday night, the opening credits were the best. The  two girls at the end walking down the street in bikinis was the best part I caught an episode the other day on TV, Crocket smoking those non-filter cigs in every damn scene was very cool for some reason.

Negative. I've recognized places from Miami Beach all the way down to South Miami.

They really love Brickell Avenue (just south of Downtown), South Miami Avenue (a block west of Brickell), and the whole Miami Beach area (Collins Ave. and such). They also use a lot of the causeways that go from the mainland to the islands.

It was in season 2,I watched it last night.

When they repoed it of course the top was down, well they had "trouble" with it and left it outside with the top down,it was covered interior and exterior in seagull shit and a cat had a litter of kittens in the drivers seat

Tubbs will be carrying a 1911 .45 S&W I believe.  He is also shooting a 12 guage M-4 semi-auto Benelli with a collapsible stock.

Did it ever occur to you guys that all the drug dealers shooting machine guns in Miami Vice, with all the glorification of the outlaw life and its fabulous wealth might have something to do with the public perceptions that fostered the ban on "assault weapons?"

Nope, I think it was Patrick Purdy and a few others that did that.
