Package changes in size or graphics are not uncommon.

I used to run the largest Doritos line in the world (Frankfurt, IN) in the mid-90s and we carried a wide variety of sizes and graphics that most people would never see outside of special regions, events or circumstances.

They changed the original recipe a while back, now its not as sweet and cheesey and has a nasty aftertaste that I think is suppossed to be spicey.

I used to lick the cool ranch flavoring off the chips and put them back in the bag.

They will keep gradually decreasing the size over the course of a few years. Then after people start realizing how small the bags are, they will release 'jumbo' packs that contain 33% more for 'free'.  Then the cycle starts over.

Yeah, My first exposure to tortilla chips were the original Old Dutch taco chips.  Doritos taco chips are the closest thing to them.  My fave by far!

Those were the best!!  Where did you find them.  IIRC, they stopped making them in the late 70's or early 80's.  Where are you located?
