My best friend lives in Arlington and works in a gun store there. He gets to work this morning, goes in and shoots the shit with his co-workers. Twelve minutes later, he goes back outside to his El Camino and its gone! Now the car is paid off so thats not the worst part. He was having some work done by one of the gunsmiths, so what he went back out to the car for was...a complete bushy lower, his CHL Sig 228 (loaded obviously), a complete STG-58 parts kit, and an Imbel FAL reciever for the kit. Needless to say he's pretty fumed. Police report is done and the video recording from the parking lot is low res and only shows the suspects car pull in and 25 seconds later both cars are pulling out and driving away. He only has liability insurance so he's pretty sure hes screwed all the way around. I told him he was an asshat for leaving that shit in his car for even 12 minutes but still, I gotta feel for the guy. Nobody deserves this kinda crap even if they are a little too trusting.

edited so the semantics nazi's can calm down

You are correct. He is an asshat for leaving that stuff in his car. Letting a firearm that belongs to you out of your control is not a good thing.

BTW - The loss of that STG kit is gonna hurt.
