So if you were deployed on the US Mexican border, which rifle would you choose?

M24, cause the Army always has better gear (just like the troops...)

?

He is referring to a certain sound made by a flashlight impacting one's head, the name of the sound is so I am told a racial slur against Mexican's.   The name of the sound will get you locked and banned faster than a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick.

I was told that it stood for Travelling Outside Native Country.  Why should that be bad?

Either rifle's capability is limited only by the fact that a human is pulling the trigger.  I highly doubt anyone in the world is proficient enough to be able to distinguish an accuracy difference between the two.  I would be happy with either one, though I lean more toward the M40 because I prefer the McMillan stock and because it is built by Jarheads.

While reference to this was somewhat funny and made me laugh out loud, how did the flashlight thing become relevant to this discussion? Weren't we talking about two different bolt-action rifles?

Oh, it's the "Mexican" aspect of it. I get it. I'm a little slow on the uptake, but I figured it out.

that flashlight doesnt exist, i put in my deposit 3 years ago.

jokes aside, id take the M40...why? because it'd be just like old times. and also because its lovingly hand assembled from the finest components by 2112s who care...while the M24 is slapped together with production parts by remington wage slaves.
