A MOTHER of two has been reported to police after she threw a snowball in her garden, it emerged last night.
Tracey Ryan, 32, said the police came to her door over claims that she threw the snowball over a fence at her neighbour's two-year-old daughter in Glenburn, Paisley. But Mrs Ryan said that if the child had been hit, it was by accident as she played with her own daughter in the snow.
"The police told me I was being charged with something called reckless endangerment and breach of the peace.
"All I can say is it must have been one hell of a snowball to get up over that fence and then back down to hit the child," she said.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: "A 32-year-old woman has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with an incident on Thursday, 29 December."
