What i learned from the Muppets. Someone isn't speaking real Swedish unless they say "bork bork bork" at least once in each sentance.

I used to watch The Muppet Show religiously as a kid. My favorite Muppet was Animal. I still have an Animal puppet that my Grandmother bought for me on my birthday 28 years ago. I also have the Mega-Sized Animal action figure standing on my bookcase. Season 1 of The Muppet Show came out on DVD recently, I need to pick up a copy.

I used to watch The Muppets all the time! I loved those two old men who sat up in the balcony and made snide remarks!

Waldorf and Statler.............always funny as hell............and I always liked Sam the American Eagle and Crazy Harry, who liked to blow stuff up

The DVD of season one is great.
They have a bunch of little known Muppet facts that can play along with each episode. |
I like the one where they butchered Miss Piggy and made Choizo and pork chops out of her.
I remember the episode that Alice Cooper hosted and thought it was kinda strange to have him on a kid's show dressed up like Satan. It was great.
I never thought of that, but you're right. |
the muppetts rocked. i still watch it once and while when i catch an old rerun.

Muppets rule!
Muppet trivia question: Who was the inspiration for Animal? . . . . . . . . Keith Moon. |
Ban Him! on the bottom! It would fit in so well. |

Love the Muppet Show. If ya ever get the chance, go to the muppet show deal at California Adventure at Disneyland. I think I liked it more than my kids.

Tomorrow I search for season one.
I have muppets from space on vhs I think. I have to admit this show will be one of my most watched dvds once I get it. |
The swedish chef was my favorite. I liked the one where he was trying to open a coconut. Muppets were the best.
My favorite Muppet skit was on the TV series "The State", where two guys dressed as frontiersmen were paddling around the cubicles in a business office in a canoe. Every now and then they would pull in a trap with a Muppet stuck in it. In one of the traps the Muppet had chewed it's own leg off to escape.
Later they were seen enjoying their Muppet dinners. I guess they tasted like chicken. |

BEAKER!
Even as a kid (watching reruns on Nick at Nite), I wanted to skin Miss Piggy and roast her at luau. |
Alice Cooper was on the Muppet Show twice if I remember correctly. On one episode he sang "School's Out", on the other he sang "No More Mister Nice Guy". Very bizzare. The Dudley Moore episode is one of my favorites. He was an amazing piano player. |
lets see they had 'Pigs in Space 'and ' Bear on Patrol' , Muppet Labs' [with doctor Bunsen Honeydew], Veterenarians Hospital' [ doctor Bob and Nurse Janice]. The flying Zucchini Bros. were some funny sumbitches!!! Hey!!! how cumma no bigga booma booma??

That was some pretty decent drumming. He did better in his drum duel with Harry Belafonte.
As for favourite Muppet Moments: Mahnamahna! Chocolate Moose Heck, just go here. Chef Collection! NTM |
My two favorites: Alice Cooper ( School's Out ) and Peter Sellers singing "Cigarettes, Whiskey and Wild, Wild Women"

The Swedish Chef is the best! Of course, being a chef myself, I'm a little biased.

"They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane...." How about John Cleese, the Space Pirate, and his jilted Parrot? [Cleese]"This be no intercom! This be a payphone!" [Link]"Yes, it's a design flaw that slipped by us" [Cleese]"Argh.. Where be my doubloons? Ah..." (Scatters doubloons) [Parrot!]"Look at all the Doubloons! And you said you couldn't afford to take me out to dinner. We were broke, you said. No money, you said..." [Cleese]"Shut up! Or else you'll be an ex-Parrot!" NTM |
