Sounds horribly dangerous and damaging to the gun.
I thought this was going to be blueprints for making a home made flamethrower since I've posted them once or twice. |

This only works if you do it while bumpfiring with the rifle totally submerged in a tank of gasoline.

Buy some 22LR hollow points....put some lighter flints in the hollow point...and shoot them at some steel targets...they make a pretty good shower of sparks.

Except in California you can walk into a farm and ranch supply store and buy one if they have any in stock. I've just been prevented from posting links to the home-made flamethrower because of safety concerns. |

True. I see them at gun shows on occasion. However, flame thrower igniters are regulated. Igniters are NFA items. Flame throwers will not work without igniters. |

Hell if you want to try, cremora makes a great flamethrower mix. They use it or used it in the past for several flame throwing effects at Disneyland.

I have not heard of gasoline and blanks, but I have personnelly witness an idiot spray WD-40 into the end of his barrel (10-22) and HK-93 just to perform a flame show...stupid. Yes, the weapon needed to be loaded and chambered before he spray the WD-40 into the barrel.
