I have a few relatives who send us Anne Geddes cards from time to time. They think her cards are "adorable" but I just find them creepy as hell.

Babies are humans, they are not flowers, or faries or any other kind of weird crap. And any kind of normal person knows you don't dye their hair green.

This crap is worse than people who dress up their dogs in costumes...

My wife was given an Anne Geddes calendar for Christmas. She politely thanked her relative but on the way home all she wanted to talk about was how much she couldn't stand "that Anne Geddes crap". (I had never even seen her work before...but yes it's pretty much crap).

What's worse is that some of them look like they were photoshopped in MS Paint or something.

I can't believe she gets paid to do that crap.

The next day we went to the bookstore and exchanged it for something a little less repugnant.

She USED to be good, but now relies on Photoshop. Half the fun of looking at her pics before 1997 was: "How the heck did she do that?". Now, it's all cheapo trix I can see here at ARFCOM, and done better here.

I had a Chemistry teacher like that in High School. She was the cheerleading coach and basically ignored you if you weren't in the popular clique/cheerleader.
And yes, those pics have creeped me out for years. I heard that they're practically new borns when they take then. Like less than a week old. No chance in hell I'd ever to that to my kids.

First I've heard of him. And while strange that is far from creepy. At least he has an inherent talent.

And while the concept is a unique one, I don't think a full artistic career can be based upon a single notion of a chick whose panties are always hitting the floor. Which is probably why I never heard of him.
