Wasn't sure where to introduce myself (which is what you usually do when new somewhere).

I am new to the AR-15 world with a Rock River Arms Elite Car A4 but own a couple 1911's, a  Luger and an H&K USP .40 and a model 94 .30-30

I have already learned alot from this site and would love to contribute anything I can.

Thanks,  Dan

BTW,  if this is not the intro section please guide me.

It's not, but probably the closest thing we have here. You might also check in over at the hometown forum for your area. Welcome to the site. Pics of your AR are mandatory.

Yeah, I hope you're not fanatic in your opinions of abortion, drug legalization, and evolution vs. creationism, because you will NOT succeed in changing anyone's opinion about those topics, despite endless threads where people attempt just that.

The long gun was an FN FNC 80 in 5.56

I believe his sidearm was a pearl handled 1911 of some variant.

Also, make sure to get rid of all the firearms that you listed, and buy your self a ruger 10/22 and a .38.  Its all you will ever need.

sad story about the Luger,  My uncle got it in Korea (during the war) and it was an officers weapon,  nickel plated and all.

Good news,  it can be restored and all of the numbers match.  Great shooter.

Pics to come.

The pistols.

I prefer the 1911 grip angle so I sold the Glock to my father who carried one during his last years with the Federal government.

H&K USP,  Kimber custom II,  Kimber Ultra carry II,  Glock 27,  Luger 9mm and S&W .38special.

Hey Dan nice to see you here. Enjoy the site and don't take anything personal.

Remember to ask lots of questions but only after searching the appropriate forums for it is very likely your questions may be answered by simply reading through the many tacked threads.
