Yes...I liked them so much, I bought the company!

Do you mean Globemasters?

Loadmasters are the guys who manage the cargo.

Maybe a Load Master took the pic?

Really?
My bad.

Anyway, I thought the pic was pretty cool, like a flock of birds coming in for a landing.

You can get the Hi-Resolution image of that photo and others from the story here -

That one makes a nice desktop image BTW.

ETA:  There's video at the link also.

Sure.  They're cool planes, particularly for large freighters.

I've seen pilots practicing short field techniques at the local AF base here.   It's scary to see just
how short a distance a big plane like that can land in.    It must haves some SERIOUS brakes.

And it can take off in a scary short distance, too.

I've heard it's easy to work on.   And I've heard it's a real bitch to work on, too.   I guess the difference
lies in what systems the person talking was assigned to work on.

Actually, it's more in the TRs - they are high enough off the ground that they don't have to worry about FOD nearly as much as an airliner (look how close the engine pods of a 737 are to the ground, for example).

I've always wanted to fly one of those big bastards.  I mean if you're gonna go, go big.

... Of all the current inventory I work on, the C17 is the most impressive.

My buddy is in flight training for them right now. He is a lucky shit.
